EasyJet, the low-cost airline, has signed a collaboration agreement with Viajes El Corte Inglés in order to sell their flight tickets in the more than 500 local offices that the travel agency has in Spain.

Javier Gándara, chief executive officer of EasyJet in Spain, and Jesús Nuño de la Rosa, Viajes El Corte Inglés’ chief executive officer, have signed this agreement that would mean “the collaboration of two leader companies in their sector in order to facilitate business and vacation trips to millions of Spaniards”, as the press note said.

Endesa’s business in Latin America will contribute with 3.600 million euros of ebitda while the business in Spain and Portugal with 3.300. This results, with Latin America contributing with more than half of the total gross earnings of the company presided by Borja Prado, reinforce Endesa’s hopes of making Latin America the engine of their business.

These figures were announced yesterday in Rome, where the Enel group presented their results for the year. Endesa, a subsidiary of Enel, presented their 2012-2016 strategic planning. Endesa forecasts a 7.000 million euros ebitda for the present year, while 2011’s ebitda was 7.200 million euros.

In the year 2011, for fourth time in the history, more cava bottles were exported than champagne bottles, which confirm that the Spanish sparkling wine with its good value for money will get away from the international crisis.

Different sources of the sector assure that there is a substitution process of the champagne by cava due to its more inexpensive price. This process favored that last year’s selling of cava overpassed in 11 million bottles the selling of champagne.

The Spanish textile company Cortefiel has informed in a recent communique that they have allied with ScarVic in order to foster an expansion plan in China, where they will open 800 sales points in the next years.

Cortefiel wants to begin their expansion in the Chinese markets next fall using their leading brands Springfield and Pedro del Hierro. In order to do that, they will have not only their own stores but also sales corners in shopping malls.
