CAF is now in charge of the tram project for the Cuiabá, Brazil, and will supply 84 carriages to Calcutta, India. This will bring CAF 700 million Euros.
According to CAF’s communication sent to the Stock Market Spanish Commission (CNMV), the Spanish company signed a contract for the Calcutta tube amounting to more than 110 million Euros and a contract in Brazil, in conjunction to other companies, amounting to 216 million Euros.
CAF will supply 84 tube carriages for the East-West line in the city of Calcutta, although 21 more carriages could be included in the contract. The line is currently administrated by Kolkata Metro Rail Corporation.

The new governor of the Bank of Spain, Luis Maria Linde, took hold of his duties this Monday, a task he defined as "important, honorable and hard" and is assumed heartedly by the responsibility he is being entrusted
Those were Linde´s declarations made during the ceremony held at the Bank of Spain, in which he has been appointed for the head of the bank at the same time that the former president, Miguel Angel Fernandez Ordoñez was removed. The ceremony was atended by the finance minister, Cristobal Montoro, numerous celebrities.
Among the most important tasks to be undertaken at this difficult time Linde highlighted the restructuring of the Spanish financial sector to restore confidence so that the credit floods again enforcing economical activity and for so job creation.

Prosegur obtained a net benefit of 44 million euros between January and March of the present year, which is a 2.9% higher than the figure for the same three-month period of 2011.
The gross benefit of the company (ebitda) increased a 15.8%, reaching 98 million euros, while their net benefit (ebit) increased 14%, reaching 74 million euros.
Prosegur sales during the first three-month period of 2012 reached an amount of 838 million euros, which is a 30.3% turnover increase compared to 2011, when the sales figure was 643 million euros.

The Spanish company, which produces coils and springs for the automobile industry, has been growing in the foreign markets and now wants to set in Brazil, China and Russia. The CEO of the company, Ricardo Romo, announced a strategic plan for the next two years with a prediction of a 10% increase in sales.
The Spanish company has recently taken over the laser cutting company Gasori and inaugurated a production plant in Pone (India) for 7 million euros. Ricardo Romo explains that the company will monetize the investment in a two years term and that they are not planning near investment but they could “evaluate any coming opportunity”.

Iberdrola will invest a total amount of $2.346 million in the New York State through its two American subsidiaries: New York State Electric and Gas Corporation (NYSEG) and Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation (RG&E).
From the budget announced, 40% will be destined to electricity transportation facilities, 26% to distribution facilities and 24% to the gas business. The total amount of the budget is divided between the two subsidiaries, the New York State Electric and Gas Corporation will invest $1.117 million and Rochester Gas and Electric Corporation $1.169 milllion.
