Iberdrola has placed a €600 million issue of 4-year eurobonds maturing in January 2016. With this issue, the company reopens the private debt market with this bond issue. Its strong international presence and improving conditions after the extreme volatility that emerged during the summer have facilitated the operation.

The issue has been placed between 300 investors of more than 15 countries and has had strong demand, equivalent to 4.500 million euro. Of the total takeup, 85% was from abroad.

The holding “METALLOINVEST” and the Ministry of Transport and Krasnodarsky Krai announced that they have signed a cooperation agreement to build a new port complex in Taman, Russia. The document was signed by CEO of Management Company “METALLOINVEST” Eduard Potapov, Russian Transport Minister Igor Levitin and Governor of the Krasnodarsky Krai Aleksandr Tkachev.

The agreement provides for the construction of a new port terminal and will facilitate iron-ore shipments, which are expected to reach 15 million tonnes per year. “As we seek to increase production volumes at METALLOINVEST’s enterprises, we have encountered logistical problems, which have required improving the existing transport infrastructure”, stated Eduard Potapov, while explaining the necessity of new port facilities.

A delegation led by Russia's Deputy Prime Minister, Igor Sechin, visited the facility to make an inspection and sign the certificate of readiness. The delegation was accompanied by Evgeny Dod, Chairman of the Management Board of RusHydro, and Victor Zimin, Governor of Khakassia, as well as representatives of energy companies, design and construction companies. The guests inspected the facilities of the spillway and witnessed the operation of the whole structure in full capacity.

Commissioning of spillway was preceded by pre-operational tests of the facility, which took place from September 28 till October 1, 2011. INTER RAO UES, General Electric and United Engine Corporation signed an agreement to establish a joint venture in Yaroslavl Oblast to produce and market high-efficiency 77 MW gas turbines with low 6FA emissions.

General Electric will hold a 50% stake in the JV; while INTER RAO UES and UEC will have 25% each. The Board will include two directors nominated by GE, one director nominated by INTER RAO UES and another one nominated by UEC. The nominated director by General Electric will serve as the Chairman. General Electric will also be responsible for operational management of the company.
